Looking for a Glasgow gas engineer who:
Then you're in luck, Sammy Bogan will make you wish you'd just chosen to suffer through a winter with no heating rather than deal with his appalling "service".
Save yourself time, money, and many headaches by finding a Glasgow gas engineer who won't string you along and eventually scam you.
Sammy claimed he needed £1,250 to source a new boiler and materials. Instead, he disappeared with the money and ignored any further attempts to contact him.
Sammy borrowed my front door key so he could drop off said materials while I was out. He never came back, so I had to have the locks changed since he stole my key.
Sammy removed my old broken boiler before scamming me out of £1,250. I didn't know until I hired another genuine gas engineer afterwards that Sammy had left my gas pipes uncapped. This could have caused a serious gas leak if someone had decided to switch my gas on from outside.
This was reported to the Gas Safe Register, with photos, and we since cannot find Sammy's profile on their website - good riddance.
Sammy is slippery and sometimes impossible to communicate with. Day after day he'd say he would come by at a certain time or day and then he'd be a no-show.
Expecting any heads up that he isn't going to make it that day? Good luck with that, you probably won't find out until the next morning at best. I hope you didn't have any reason to leave the house that day.
Do yourself a massive favour and avoid this scam artist.
We think he should not be able to continue working as a gas engineer (we can no longer find him on the Gas Safety Register, so perhaps he legally can't).
We highly recommend that you do not do any business with him, lest you lose thousands of pounds and much of your patience.
